Armstrong's forklift licence course is custom designed to develop the skills and knowledge vital to the safe operation of a forklift.

Armstrong's is approved by WorkSafe to deliver training and assessment in Forklift Licence courses, Armstrong's custom design the courses to be more aligned to practical industry experiences to enhance and maximise the educational benefit to successfully gain your Forklift Licence.

This innovative and powerful training course is conducted over three days and is delivered by highly qualified nationally accredited trainers in a motivational and educational environment. Participants are required to undertake study at home to ensure they understand the theory component of the course. 

What you will need to be eligible to do the course -

• Be at least 18 years of age; with approved photo ID; please refer to Armstrong’s Terms & Conditions for approved ID types.
• Bring two current passport photo on the day of the course.
• Study the Forklift Licence Handout material, supplied by Armstrong’s in preparation for the written assessment.
• Wear appropriate clothing, including work boots, preferably with steel capped.

What you will learn throughout the course -

• Inspection & safe operation of the forklift;
• Hazard identification & safe movement;
• OH&S theory & practical application;
• Lifting & racking techniques;
• Turning & moving the forklift; with & without loads;
• Lifting & handling of different types of palleted goods;
• Practical application of ‘test exercises’ to help enhance the driving & lifting assessment;

All training is conducted prior to any testing, maximising the training benefits to aid in the successful completion of the licence course.

Assessment is based on WorkSafe requirements, including a practical driving and lifting assessment & a written test. Participants will also be assessed throughout the course through classroom activities and worksheets.

Participants will undertake the Nationally recognised unit;

TLILIC108A - Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck

After successfully completing this unit, a Statement of Attainment will be issued by Armstrong's, as well as a temporary licence* in the form of a certificate of competency.

* The temporary licence certificate is valid for 2 months; after which another licence course will need to be completed if not transferred into a Licence beforehand. The temporary licence certificate is NOT a Licence & must be transferred into a Licence at any Post Office prior to operating a Forklift.
