Armstrong's forklift licence course is custom designed to develop the skills and knowledge vital to the safe operation of a forklift.

WorkSafe approved to deliver training and assessment in Forklift Licence courses, Armstrong's custom design the courses to be more aligned to practical industry experiences to enhance and maximise the educational benefit to successfully gain your Forklift Licence.

This innovative and powerful training course is conducted over two days for approximately 8½ hours per day delivered by highly qualified nationally accredited trainers in a motivational and educational environment.

What you will need to be eligible to do the course -

Be at least 18 years of age; with approved photo ID; please refer to Armstrong’s Terms & Conditions for approved ID types.
Bring a current passport photo on the day of the course.
Study the Forklift Licence Handout, supplied by Armstrong’s in preparation for the written assessment.
Wear appropriate clothing, including work boots, preferably with steel capped.

What you will learn throughout the course -

Inspection & safe operation of the forklift;
Hazard identification & safe movement;
Vital knowledge on OH&S theory & practical application;
Lifting & racking techniques;
Turning & moving the forklift; with & without loads;
Lifting & handling of different types of palleted goods;
Practical application of ‘test exercises’ to help enhance the driving & lifting assessment;

All training is conducted prior to any testing, maximising the training benefits to aid in the successful completion of the licence course.

The assessment is based on Work Safe requirements, including a practical driving and lifting assessment & a written test.

At the successful completion of the licence testing you will receive a temporary licence* in the form of a certificate.

These funded licence courses not only deliver Armstrong’s custom designed forklift licence course as detailed above but also include critical Transport and Logistics Certificate I-III units of -

After successfully completing these units, a Statement of Attainment will be issued by NMIT.
